the last date before which i could give my CS for havin a fare chance of being matched this year
fellow doctors......... i ve a thing to brood upon.......
i ve started on the visa procedure and step 2 ck right now..................
i m half way thru the med kaplan first read............
one this visa is a big pain and the clock on the head is ever ticking............ can u pl gimme an idea .........about when can i give the CS ....... the latest posssible date?
some of my fiends said sept 11 ......... other one said 15 th july..???? are ther many progs for IM which dont need ECFMG CERTIFICATION? OR IS IT A MUST TO GET A DECENT NUMBER OF INTEVEIEWS?

its is better if u get ECFMG certified before sept 1st. so u shud get last exam (step 2 CS in ur case) done by july 17 or prepferably may 15 !!

i saw in the match requirements part of this wb site ........... was that some programs want ecfmg certi upto interviews ..... is that real? like i m affraid that i wont be able to complete things up in time....... so just wanted to know ? but there might be only a few programs right like dat?
i ve become a bit apprehensive of not bein able to complete things in time donnno y.... may be its the visa tension or something else......

dude.. relax..
yes, most of the progs do want u ecfmg certified, preferably before u apply ! but its okay if u cant finish up steps till then, cant do much abut that, can u.. try to finish steps as soon and as best u can.. update progs u applied to, later when u get certified.. !!
